o ensure that the business is able to maintain and improve the profitability of the business. Often the Commercial function can also take control of flight capacity and bed stock in order to ensure the accurate pricing and cost base and be responsible for any tactical activity required as a result. The Commercial Manager has responsibility for the Commercial department. This includes identifying new markets & business opportunities, reviewing current business practises undertaking necessary changes, delivering sales targets, managing costs and ensuring there is strong leadership in all sales areas. The Commercial Executive will work alongside the Commercial Manager to constantly monitor margins and prices for all distribution channels and feed information through to the product department as required.
The Pricing Manager will work alongside the contractor and product function to manage the pricing process throughout the product or brochure lifecycle to ensure maximum margins are achieved.
The Revenue Manager is responsible for managing and maximising the yield of the accommodation or flights programme as applicable where guarantees and commitments have been made. Closely monitoring sales and controlling availability and the monitoring of competitor pricing is essential to this role.
The Analyst will look at all areas of the business and review current business operation procedures, make recommendations for change and ensure that it is rolled out across the business. You must possess strong analytical and commercial skills with proven decision making ability and pay attention to detail.
The Business Analyst must review the current business operation procedures across all areas and identify areas and processes that require change. The procedures must be documented and recommendations for change made and implemented across the entire business with the buy in from the staff.
A Commercial Analyst often works alongside the commercial team to develop a revenue management strategy to optimise yield and load factors and ensure maximum profitability. Often you will assist in route planning and new destination analysis, to produce and analyse key data to aid business decisions.
