The customer service department deals with bookings once the Travel Consultant or Travel Agent has made them. Generally the customer service department will deal with all enquires and amendments pre-departure but can also deal with complaints. The Customer Service Consultant will deal with customers efficiently over the phone to make amendments to customers' bookings, deal with customer cancellations and offer alternatives. The Customer Service Consultant will also advise clients of any flight and accommodation changes whilst providing good customer service at all times. The Customer Service Assistant will provide support to the Customer Service Consultant or Customer Service Manager often advising clients of changes to their itineraries.
The Customer Service Manager or Customer Service Supervisor will be responsible for the running of the department. This includes managing the team and ensuring all service delivery standards are met. Generally you must have previous customer service experience within a tour operator at supervisory level and a good command of the English language.
