Travel Consultant Jobs
A Travel Consultant, also known as a Travel Agent, provides a full range of travel booking services including inclusive tours and package holidays, tailor-made holidays, flights, car hire, hotels and any other ancillary products required for customers - whether it be customer facing in a retail store or in a reservations environment over the telephone for large travel companies, as well as smaller independent travel companies. You will generally be required to have knowledge of a CRS and you must be able to meet and exceed given sales targets.

Junior Travel Consultant is a route into the travel industry if you have recently completed a travel qualification. You will be trained in all areas of booking travel products and trained into the role of Travel Consultant or Travel Agent. You must have an excellent demonstration of customer service skills and a professional telephone manner. Qualifications generally accepted include TAFE Certificate 3, Tourism Diploma and other travel qualifications.
A Corporate Leisure Travel Consultant is a worldwide travel consultant specialising in bookings for corporate clients on leisure holidays. You will be providing assistance booking round-the-world airfares, tailor made holidays and flight-only itineraries. You will need to be an experienced Travel Consultant or Reservations Agent with a good working knowledge of a CRS (Sabre, Amadeus or Galileo) and be well travelled with excellent product knowledge.
A Specialist Travel Consultant is a Travel Consultant specialising in a particular destination or niche type of travel. You will be booking attention to detail itineraries for your specialised product. Being a source of information for your clients, you will be the expert in your area. You will need to be an experienced Travel Consultant or Reservations Agent with a good product knowledge of your specialised product together with working knowledge of a CRS (Sabre, Amadeus or Galileo) and be well travelled with an excellent product knowledge.
Senior Travel Consultants and Travel Team Leaders are experienced Travel Consultants with a wealth of knowledge in the travel industry, using a CRS and nett and published fares. They will aid the Manager in the day-to-day running of the Consultants and help coach more junior staff into the role.
